Community Hanukkah Celebration to Honor Area Holocaust Survivors

The Jewish Federation of Cumberland, Salem, and Gloucester Counties will recognize area Holocaust survivors at their Community Hanukkah Celebration on Tuesday, December 16th at 7 pm.
“We want to honor those who continued to keep and honor their faith during the most tragic time in our Jewish history and of the history of the world. Through their bravery, courage, and dedication, they made it possible for the Jewish faith to endure so that we can celebration this ‘Festival of Lights’ today,” said Steven Schimmel, Executive Director of Jewish Federation of Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties. “Everyone is invited to come out and celebrate with us and join us in paying tribute to these special, courageous individuals.”
The program will take place at Beth Israel Congregation located at 1015 East Park Avenue in Vineland. There will be a special speaker presentation, as well as live klezmer music. Light refreshments will be catered by Beth Israel Sisterhood.
