The Future Acts Club Begins Sorting Food for Gobble Up Hunger Food Drive
Orchard Middle School's Future Acts Club spent Thursday afternoon sorting through all the food that was donated so far for the "Gobble Up Hunger" food drive.
The drive's goal is to collect enough food to fill at least 200 baskets for those in need on Thanksgiving. Each basket will include at Turkey as well as the donated food.
The “Gobble Up Hunger” drive is being sponsored by the Middle School Future Acts Program, the Washington Township Education Association, the Changing Our World Project, Mother’s Cupboard, and the Washington Township Rotary. The District is holding a nonperishable food drive through November 24th. Suggested items include: turkey gravy, canned vegetables, instant or canned potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing, pasta, pasta sauce, rice, canned fruit, applesauce, peanut butter and jelly. Donations can be made at each District school’s main office.
