Hot Air Balloon Rides Marks the Start of Chestnut Ridge Middle School's 25th Anniversary Celebration

If you were wondering why there was a gigantic hot air balloon at Chestnut Ridge Middle School yesterday, it is because they kicked off the start of the school's 25th anniversary celebration.
“This officially is the start of our 25th anniversary celebration. We have a lot of fun things planned,” Principal Jim Barnes said from the air while waving to students and talking on a bullhorn. “We’re looking forward to making this a great anniversary. We thank the Deptford ‘First and Finest’ crew for being here today to help us out.”
Students watched and cheered as the hot air balloon went up and down, taking different staff members each time.
The full celebration will take this Monday with a morning full of fun activities
