Shine A Light on Lung Cancer Event Will be Held on Nov. 13

Shine A Light on Lung Cancer, a national campaign to bring hope, inspiration, and support to those in the community who have been affected by lung cancer, will be held on Nov. 13 at the Inspira Life Center in Vineland.
“Lung cancer is the number one cause of cancer deaths in the United States for both men and women and 85% of lung cancer cases are caused by smoking,” said Sandra Murray, R.N., O.C.N., C.T.T.S., clinical coordinator thoracic, head and neck cancer program at Inspira Health Network. “Increasing lung cancer awareness is very important to our community as smoking rates in Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem counties are among the highest in the New Jersey."
The event will feature special presentations by Ugo Ogwudu, M.D., Shailja Roy, M.D., and Glenda R. Smith, M.D. Those who have been affected by lung cancer or who have a loved one that has been affected by lung cancer are invited to share their experience and honor lost loved ones.
