Cumberland County Technical Education Center Launches Promotional Campaign

MILLVILLE - The Cumberland County Technical Education Center has launched a promotional campaign to raise public interest and awareness for the new school. The campaign, titled Get Ready, is intended to promote information about the school to local families. It is planned to educate interested eighth graders and their parents or guardians about the application process for the new school.
The school's construction site, on College Drive in Millville, is under management by the Cumberland County Improvement Authority. The Education Center is projected to open in September of 2016.
“This new high school will change lives. It will offer promising futures for many individuals as well as for local business and industry,” said Dr. Dina Elliott, School Superintendent. “That is the basic premise behind our campaign which reminds people to Get Ready and prepare for something great!”
According to Dr. Elliott, a photograph of children of varied ages on the current CCTEC construction site has been incorporated to convey the message of the campaign.
The campaign will combine several communication platforms to educate the public about the required information sessions for students enrolled in the eighth grade of the  2015/2016 school year. Both print and digital messages are intended to alert students that the upcoming Information Sessions, to be held at Cumberland County College’s Luciano Conference Center.  Students are required to attend a session before applying to the school. Print and other digital media, including video, will be used to reach both student and parent targets.
“Attendance at the information sessions is mandatory for prospective eight grade students interested in receiving an application for the new high school,” said Dr. Dina Elliott. “We encourage any interested families to visit our website to register for one of these five sessions and learn more about the school’s offerings and important application information and related dates.”
Five scheduled sessions will be held this fall on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings with the first beginning on Saturday, September 19th and the last on Saturday, December 5th. Interested applicants and families can register for the sessions on-line at .
