Assemblyman Sam Fiocchi Hosts Senior Town Hall Meeting to Discuss Electricity Bills

LOWER TOWNSHIP - On Friday, August 14th, Assemblyman Sam Fiocchi held a Senior Town Hall meeting at the Lower Cape Senior Center in Lower Township.
Assemblyman Fiocchi invited Stefanie Brand, NJ Rate Counsel Director, to give a presentation on electricity bills. The Rate Counsel's mission is to make sure that all classes of utility consumers receive safe, adequate, and proper utility service at affordable rates that are fair and nondiscriminatory.
Stefanie Brand spoke to 50 Seniors about 3 topics:  Shopping for cheaper rates, state assistance on electricity bills, and issues regarding copper wire replacement.
Assemblyman Sam Fiocchi and Stefanie Brand took questions from the audience that included Verizon telephone service questions, do not call list issues, and how can the State assist seniors with their electricity bills.
"As a State Assemblyman of the 1st Legislative District,  I want to make sure that all residents have all of the information that they need regarding utilities for their home," said Assemblyman Fiocchi. "I am happy that Stefanie Brand came to Lower Township, and she gave an informative presentation to seniors in the Villas and the seniors seemed appreciative with the information that they received."
