The Washington Township Board of Education Honored Participants in the AP STEM Access Grant.

The Washington Township Board of Education recently honored participants in the AP STEM Access Grant who were awarded funds for their efforts to increase participation in the school’s Advanced Placement courses and exam process.  Their efforts led to an 83 percent increase in tests taken in all subject and  boosted the AP course enrollment from 586 students in 2012-13 to this year's 978.
As a result, the following Washington Township AP STEM teachers will receive sizable grants to assist in their courses: Mike Dempsey, AP Statistics ($2,000), Andy Holmes, AP Chemistry ($2,600), Angela Cardamone, AP Biology ($2,100), Aileen Constans, Shannon Hornibrook, Dave Wright, AP Physics B ($2,800), Costa Tsoukalis, AP Environmental Science ($600).
