Cumberland County Womens Hall of Fame Nominations

CUMBERLAND COUNTY - The Cumberland County Women’s Hall of Fame is seeking nominations of accomplished women to be honored by the Hall at its Eighth Annual Induction Ceremony next spring. The deadline for nominations is Saturday, October 31st.
Anyone can nominate women who have made significant contributions to a profession, the community, or women’s issues. Each woman selected for the award must be or have been an innovator and a role model. She also must be a native of Cumberland County, be employed in the county, or have made her contributions there.
Three women were inducted into the Hall this past spring, bringing the total number of members to 37 since the Hall was founded.
The 2016 induction ceremony will be held on Wednesday, April 27th at Merighi’s Savoy Inn.
“There are many women in Cumberland County whose accomplishments are worthy of the Hall of Fame,” said Louise T. Bertacchi, Founder and Chair of the Hall. “We urge people to send nominations in early, so if any extra information is required, we’ll have time to contact nominators to provide it.”
To request a nomination form, contact Louise Bertacchi at or 856.825.5929 or Kim Litchendorf at or 856.453.0762. Nominators must provide information on the candidate’s ties to Cumberland County, her accomplishments, and a biography with related information.
Winners will be selected by the Nominations Committee of the Hall of Fame this fall, and those winners will be announced in January.
For more information call Louise Bertacchi at 856.825.5929.
