VINELAND - New Survival ESL (English as a Second Language) classes will be held at Vineland Public Library in September.
The classes target individuals whose low English level prevents them from interacting with English speakers in their daily lives. The classes will focus on vocabulary for daily life and the basic grammar patterns of English.
Classes for beginning students will start on Monday, September 14th. Each class will then take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:30 until Noon. Classes for intermediate students will begin on Tuesday, September 15th. Intermediate classes will be held on the following Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout September from 10:30 to Noon.
All classes are free and open to residents of Vineland, who are at least 18 years old and grew up speaking any language other than English. Classes will meet in the library’s Community Event Room, which is located on the first floor of the library.
Interested students can register on the first day of class. They must bring their library card with them to register, and a notebook and pencil to use in the class.
