Bridgeton Fire Department Visits Cumberland County Library

BRIDGETON - Cumberland County Library Summer reading participants had a visit from the Bridgeton Fire Department on Thursday, August 13th. Lieutenant John Shaffer and Firefighter Julius Mendez met at the library to discuss the duties of a fireman. Children learned about the importance of fire safety and the functions of firefighter’s equipment, toured a fire truck, and learned about Shaffer's personal experience in serving the World Trade Center attacks on September 11th, 2001.
