Five Ribbon Cutting Events Scheduled for Downtown Vineland

VINELAND — Main Street Vineland will hold its second ribbon-cutting gala event on the morning of Wednesday, August 19th. The day will feature five ribbon-cuttings, starting at 9:30 a.m.
The event will start at the Main Street Vineland office, located at 603 East Landis Avenue, with the ribbon-cuttings proceeding as follows:
9:30 a.m.—G Street, 547 East Landis Avenue, Suite B
9:40 a.m.—Vibrante Hair and Beauty, 537 East Landis Avenue, Suite C
9:50 a.m.—Jazzy’s African Fabrics, 537 East Landis Avenue, Suite A
10:05 a.m.—La Cabana Tio Tom Deli Express, 636 East Landis Avenue
10:15 a.m.—Spataro’s Pizza, Landis MarketPlace (upper level), 631 East Landis Avenue
All but one business in this ribbon-cutting event—La Cabana Tio Tom Deli Express—are established Vineland businesses that have moved from other downtown locations.
G Street has relocated from West Landis Avenue, Vibrante Hair and Beauty and Jazzy’s African Fabrics have relocated from Landis MarketPlace, and Spataro’s Pizza has moved from the lower level to the upper level of Landis MarketPlace.
This ribbon-cutting event also marks a milestone in progress from the June 23rd Downtown Vineland tour sponsored by Main Street Vineland. Of the 15 properties shown to brokers and agents on that tour, three are already rented. La Cabana Tio Tom Deli Express, one of the three, is now open and the other two will be part of the next ribbon-cutting event.
“I am excited and proud. Not only are we celebrating these businesses and the great variety of businesses we have in our downtown, but we are also taking important steps in turning vacant storefronts into successful, vibrant businesses," said Russell Swanson, Main Street Vineland Executive Director. “In doing this, we are helping our existing businesses stay successful and viable and, at the same time, working to bring new businesses to our downtown.”
Swanson is anticipating having another tour in the fall, following up on the success of the first tour.
“Based on the interest shown at the first tour and the results that are coming from it, I can see a lot of interest in seeing the other available properties,” said Swanson. “From that, more ribbon-cuttings will be on the way.”
